Dance & Fitness

In addition to my academic pursuits, I consider dance and fitness to be essential to my identity. I have worked as a semiprofessional dancer, founded a successful collegiate dance team, taught students of all ages both, and choreographed many pieces. Additionally, I have trained at an advanced level for many years and continue to attend well-known intensive programs (such as Sun King Dance, Broadway Dance Center, and EDGE Performing Arts) to hone my craft. Movement as Therapy

I am a Registered Dance/Movement Therapist (R-DMT), a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200), a Certified Yoga Therapist (CYT), and a Certified Pilates Instructor. I believe that the emotional and physical selves are deeply intertwined, and that stimulating one can often help us heal or become “unstuck” in the other. If requested and appropriate, I am happy to include any of the above (dance, yoga, Pilates) in conjunction with psychotherapy  or as a standalone modality of treatment.


Workshops & Classes

I no longer teach dance/fitness classes on a consistent basis, but continue to participate in the community as a student, company member, and workshop leader. I also strongly believe that dance/fitness should be accessible to everyone, so all of my workshops are free or low-cost.
